Azure Latch Flow Guide: Gain Rates & Awakening Explained
What Flow Is
Flow (also called Awakening) is the meter that unlocks your style’s strongest moveset. Press G with a full meter to awaken; your style gains new moves or upgraded variants for a fixed duration — most styles run 45–68 seconds (Rin 45s, Don Lorenzo and Aiku 50s, Isagi 55s, Kaiser 68s, per the official Trello move cards).
Official Flow Gain Values
These numbers come straight from the developers’ Trello:
| Action | Flow Gained |
|---|---|
| Receiving or saving the ball | +2% |
| Header | +2% |
| Successful tackle / steal | +12% |
Defensive play charges Flow fastest — twelve clean steals fill your entire meter, while pure ball-carrying barely moves it.
Building Flow Fast
- Play the ball, not the highlight: receives and headers are small but constant ticks.
- Contest everything as a defender or midfielder — the +12% steal value means defensive styles like Aiku and Don Lorenzo awaken far more often than strikers.
- Don’t awaken the moment you hit 100%. Overtime awakenings (used at 0:00 in a tied game) trigger special versions for Rin and Isagi, and several chemical reactions require stored Flow.
Flow-Dependent Tech
Some styles gate mechanics behind partial Flow: Sae’s Reflex mode grants Metavision at 25%+ Flow, and Shidou’s “Right On The Money” chemical reaction needs at least 50%. Check your style’s page in the styles list before you burn the meter.
