Azure Latch Sae Guide: Reflex Mode, Curve Tech & Moveset
Japan’s Greatest Treasure
Itoshi Sae is a Mythic (1.7%) midfield maestro — the curve-shot king (shooting guide) and the highest-skill-floor style in the game. A-tier for players who put in the reps (tier list).
The Mode System (Official)
- {T} Reflex — switches Sae between Logic and Reflex modes, changing several moves. You can now swap at any time, even mid-move. Reflex mode grants Metavision while you hold at least 25% Flow — it spends the meter, so budget it (flow guide). Reflex Rabona Nutmeg resets Beautiful Destruction’s cooldown like the base version, and Reflex switches off if a cutscene triggers.
Key Moves (Official Values)
- [W/S+1+1] Beautiful Destruction — on-ball, iFrames, 25s. One use, then you must use the [A/D+1+1] Perfect Touch variant before it’s available again — the kit forces you to alternate. Cancellable by holding back (S+1), and the first part can cancel into any other active move.
- [2] Rabona Nutmeg — the counter-bait: landing it while being tackled is a British Aiku quest requirement; its Reflex variant force-nutmegs forward one tile.
- [3] Drive Shot — the volume scorer (10 goals = another quest checkpoint).
- [4] Magic Pass — the assist engine: feeds Aiku’s Former Striker (quest) and Shidou’s “Right On The Money!” reaction.
Special Interactions
Sae headlines the overtime drama: “You’ll Never Surpass Me.” (his Cross Elastico on an enemy Rin) plus the FINAL MATCH-UP / GOOOOOAAAAAALLLLLL sequences when an enemy Rin flows against him at 0:00 (interactions).
Learning Route
Week one: Logic mode only, learn the Destruction↔Perfect Touch alternation. Week two: add Reflex swaps for Metavision windows. The style stops feeling clunky exactly when mode-switching becomes reflexive — pun intended.
